Flir's highest-performing and most advanced thermal imaging technology, upgraded 60HZ imaging, large 1280x960 HD OLED display, up to 640x512 resolution, up to 8x digital zoom, and high-quality lens dials provide the observer with an extraordinary experience. Animals are recognizable in detail at hundreds of meters, detectable depending on the model up to over a kilometer. Internal memory allows photos and videos to be recorded, and wireless capabilities to transfer or display them live on smartphones or tablets. They integrate GPS, compass, and inclinometer. Ergonomics, ruggedness, and water resistance are taken care of to the utmost, allowing these instruments to be used in the worst conditions. The large housing that accommodates up to 6 batteries allows use for up to as many as 10 consecutive hours, without penalizing the compactness of instruments that are contained in the 450-gram weight. The Scions also offer the ultimate in detail: you can view the enlarged animal in the center of the image with the picture-in-picture function, or observe it even with the menu open on the display, as this takes up only 30 percent of the screen.
