The new, completely modernised Delta Optical Titanium 65 ED II telescope is a product in which many designers have had a hand, as it was developed with user comments on the previous model in mind. Their comments are invaluable to us and we are pleased to be able to offer even better products thanks to them.
We have replaced the focussing knob, which could be damaged on the previous model, with a special ring. We have also redesigned and modernised the optics. We have provided all optical surfaces with new, improved anti-reflective coatings that ensure better performance in difficult lighting conditions and better, more faithful colour reproduction.
As with older and newer versions of the telescope, the use of ultra-low dispersion ED glass in the design of the lens has enabled a significant reduction in chromatic aberration. As a result, the image is extremely sharp and rich in contrast, and colours are reproduced with exceptional fidelity. In addition, the ED glass enables the use of a very short focal length of 375 mm. The result is a high-quality observation instrument that is only 24 cm long and as heavy as an average pair of binoculars.
The basic elements of the telescope are a 65 mm ED glass objective and a wide-angle, comfortable zoom eyepiece with variable focal length, which offers a magnification of 15-45x with an eyepiece field of view of 50-70◦. The extensive removal of the exit pupil from the eyepiece means that the telescope can also be used by wearers of corrective lenses, and the adjustable eyepiece allows the distance between the eye and the eyepiece to be set conveniently. There is a practical, extendable sun visor on the telescope lens.
The Titanium 65 ED II telescope has a swivelling tripod base with a standard 1/4‘’ photo thread. This type of mounting allows the telescope to be rotated freely around its longitudinal axis, which makes image adjustment much easier. An optional photo adapter is manufactured for the telescope, to which any SLR camera can be attached via a T-ring, which can be purchased separately depending on the type of mount (bayonet) used by a particular camera manufacturer. The telescope is made of metal and covered with odourless, hypoallergenic grey-green rubber. The housing is completely waterproof and the inside of the telescope is filled with nitrogen, which does not contain water vapour, thus eliminating the problem of fogging of the optical elements inside the telescope.
In view of its excellent optical properties, small size and relatively favourable price, the Titanium 65 ED II telescope is certainly an attractive proposition for hunters, nature lovers, tourists, sailors, aviators and many others. This device is also well suited for sky observation.
