Folding stocks are common in military weapons for their compactness during transport and storage, and more and more tactical rifles are equipped with them. However, finding dedicated bags was difficult until the introduction of the Aim Field® bags for folding stocks, developed with leading rifle manufacturers. The FS-42, designed for folding stocks on the right side, can hold a rifle up to 103 cm long folded and is 100 per cent waterproof when combined with a small rain cover. The bag has an adjustable stock pocket, reinforced backing, adjustable straps to secure the barrel, a pocket for cleaning rods and a padded rim to protect the weapon. It is as compact as the AIM 40 and has rain-protected zips, compression straps, large external pockets and accessory loops. It can be carried as a backpack with padded straps and carabiners, as a grip bag with webbing handle, or dragged on the ground. Made of durable 1000 denier Cordura® with closed-cell padding, it has high-quality zips and clips. The external dimensions are 107 x 30 x 8 cm and it weighs 3.2 kg.
