With this module that replaces the original one, each illumination intensity becomes one-fifth of the standard module. Ultra low illumination is a very dark 4 level illumination module invisible to your naked eye. If you attach a night vision on the ocular side, even the darkest settings in the 6 level illumination are too bright. Therefore, March Scopes developed an ultra low illumination module to accommodate to the night vision on the ocular side.

Dark settings, level “1” or “2” in the 6 level illumination module will be adequate for usage of night vision attached on the objective bell as you will be seeing the image of the night vision through the scope. For a night vision attached on the objective bell, you do not need to use an ultra low illumination module. All March Scopes illumination modules are interchangeable.

Thermal vision devices can differentiate varied levels of infrared light energy emitting from the target as heat. With standard Nightvision devices, adding an infrared illuminator that is installed on the gun can give extra illumination of the target without spooking the intended game or predator target. If the device is mounted behind the eyepiece, then the Ultra Low Power illumination module will allow the user to set the brightness to a level that will work properly with Nightvision / Thermal Vision and added Infrared Light devices, without it being too bright when compared to the target image being seen through the device.
