Most VLD or Hybrid bullets have a much longer nosepiece profile than classic HPBT bullets, which means that with dies fitted with traditional seating stem the tip touches the high portion. With this insert, on the other hand, it is properly retained about halfway down the nosepiece. Thanks to this specfical insert, VLD or Hybrid bullets will find the correct seating to be properly inserted into the case. This insert can only be used on Competition series Redding dies.
