BIB is a company founded by Randy Robinett which over the years has increasingly specialized in the production of custom bullets for precision shooting. All balls are produced to ideal and increasingly perfect "Twist Rate" specifications. The twist rate is nothing more than the twist ratio of the material that makes up the ball itself. Consequently, producing bullets with an ideal twist rate means giving the projectile a gyroscopic stability Sg equal to 1.5. This means that the perfect linearity and straight direction of the ball are absolutely guaranteed by the design and production technology of the ball itself. The Sg coefficient was calculated at sea level, with standard environmental conditions and with a barrel exit velocity of 3291.84 km/h (=3000 FPS). To give a simple and concrete comparison, all balls that have a twist ratio between 1.4 and 1.9 will then be guaranteed for a high precision shot. Instead, for all greater or lesser torsion ratios, with the same speed, there is an index for which the potential precision of the ball is no longer guaranteed. To provide a comparison with commercial balls, tests carried out under equal conditions show that their twist rate is between 0.015 and 0.020. That is, precision is no longer a guarantee. Finally, all the nose cones have a so-called TANGENT configuration with a nominal diameter which is defined by the matrix used to produce them.
