The monometallic design of the Gmx bullet is based on a copper alloy. Harder than pure copper, this copper-zinc alloy has been shown to provide greater cleanliness in the barrels and uniform pressure curves. The bullet normally retains more than 95 percent of its original weight and expands 1.5 times its original diameter. Characterized by the elongated profile with knurling, the design reduces the total contact surface area with the rifling and provides one of the best ballistic coefficients among lead-free monolithic bullets. The polymer tip is intended to initiate expansion on impact, fitting into the apical cavity and creating the optimum elongation in the via within the prey. Approved for use in those areas where lead-free bullets are required, the Gmx is ideal for prey of all sizes.
