The monometallic design of the Gmx bullet is based on a copper alloy. Harder than pure copper, this copper-zinc alloy has proven to provide cleaner barrels and uniform pressure curves. The bullet normally retains over 95 per cent of its original weight and expands 1.5 times its original diameter. Characterised by its elongated profile with knurling, the design reduces the total contact surface area with the rifling and provides one of the best ballistic coefficients among lead-free monolithic bullets. The polymer tip is designed to initiate expansion on impact, inserting itself into the apex cavity and creating the optimum elongation into the prey. Approved for use in areas where lead-free bullets are required, the Gmx is ideal for prey of all sizes.
