These headspace measuring inserts are designed to ensure fast and accurate headspace measurement of cartridge cases. Designed to measure casing shoulder when setting Full Length dies. Normally we recommend a lowering between .001" and .002" between fired and recalibrated casings for bolt action rifles, and between .003" and .005" for semi-automatic firearms.Making a correct recalibration of the shoulder is very important for the accuracy of a cartridge as it will chamber with the same pressure every time without creating imbalance. These inserts require the dedicated Body (sold separately) to be used. Made of steel to prevent wear and to be acid-proof.
