AXIS PRECISION WORX EXPANDER MANDREL SET

Manufacturers of commercial dies do not have set standards for the size of the Expander ball in their dies. This makes it necessary to correctly size the inside diameter of the neck before inserting the nosepiece.

We recommend completely removing the Expander ball from your dies. Your last step before adding the powder will be to expand the neck using the appropriate expansion mandrel. We recommend using Impreial sizing lubricant when using the mandrels, you don't need much but it makes a lot of difference.

The expander dies fit the standard reloading press, and the interchangeable mandrels are sized for standard dimensions. The kit includes mandrels to perform 0.001" or 0.002" neck tension and a base to keep everything in place while not in use.

We have found that this is the easiest way to greatly reduce your Extreme Spread (ES) and Standard Deviation (SD) numbers.
