They are designed to control and/or change the size of the case neck through the use of bushings to reform the outside of the case neck. The usual expansion olive is thus eliminated, increasing the concentricity and durability of the casing.
The die is used with the Arbor press and reforms the case neck 3/16" (4.8 mm) from the case mouth, a practice preferred by many shooters.
Bushings are not included. Dies also include a decapsulating pin.
