    The Rover 870 Sabatti is a bolt-action repeating rifle for selective hunting, designed for targeted, precise long-range shots.

    The special-steel barrel, 610 millimetres long, is manufactured by cold hammer forging: its greater thermal capacity (it heats up less) and the final stress-relief treatment minimise point-of-impact shifts that can occur when the barrel moves as residual stresses are released with rising temperature.

    The presence of chromium and molybdenum carbides provides greater resistance to erosion caused by the hot gas jet at the throat (the beginning of the rifling) compared with ordinary carbon steels; barrel life is further increased thanks to the induction hardening applied to the steel blanks.

    Walnut stock, hand-checkered, with a matte finish and a rubber recoil pad. The magazine is integral to the rifle.
