The NEXUS rifle system, created by the engineers at Gunwerks, is the next step in the evolution of long-range rifle systems. Gunwerks has eliminated the limitations imposed by the Rem700 platform. The result is a luxury and future-proof technology platform with a world of possibilities. After over 2 years of research and development and massive investments in infrastructure and manufacturing technologies, the NEXUS is the first fully vertically integrated rifle system to emerge from Gunwerks' state-of-the-art facility in Cody, WY.

This rifle features some unique characteristics, including: user-replaceable barrel, improved vertical grip, new NEXUS stock design, new NXT action design, new metal magazine and buttplate, and full-length ARCA + Picatinny bipod mount.

The patent-pending Gunwerks design allows the user to remove the stock and barrel with a simple T25 key and reassemble them with a new barrel and cartridge in just minutes, without worrying about part fitting or headspace safety.

Aiming to create an easily replaceable and upgradable barrel system while reducing the overall action weight to near titanium territory, the new NXT action is machined from a solid billet of 7075 aerospace aluminum and finished with type III hard anodizing for use in extreme conditions. The NXT also features a billet aluminum double-stack magazine that can be top-loaded and a three-position safety that locks the firing pin.

The NEXUS stock has been designed with a more vertical grip and an improved thumb rest. The result is a perfect grip for almost any hand.

The new NEXUS buttplate interfaces with the stock like a full-length ARCA + Picatinny bipod rail with an integrated trigger guard and can accommodate the new Gunwerks inset, detachable, double-stack magazine. The matte Straight Carbon finish highlights the exceptional quality of the hand-laid stock construction.

We have integrated a full-length ARCA rail into the metal lower structure of the NEXUS stock, as well as a Picatinny bipod mount and recessed QD sling mounts.

The 3-round double-stack billet aluminum magazine fits flush into the bottom of the frame without any noise and can be top-loaded. Magazine length limits are a constant battle on the REM700 platform. With the NEXUS design, Gunwerks has managed to overcome this issue.

We decided to improve the contact between the user and the NEXUS rifle. In the end, one option stood out above the others. Nothing compares to the feel and functionality of luxurious chrome-tanned leather. The hand-stitched leather cover withstands the elements well and is factory repairable should it ever need replacement. The leather on your NEXUS will wear and patina with use, telling the story of your adventures and achievements as you pass this heirloom on to future generations.
